Royal Family worried over fresh revelations: ‘it’s the last thing they need’

Prince Edward, the brother of King Charles III — and not to be confused with the disgraced Prince Andrew — appears to be sparking fresh anxiety within the royal family in an unexpected turn of events.
Among all senior royals, Prince Edward, widely respected and regarded as a diligent working member of the family, was the least expected to be at the center of any controversy.
While there has been concern over Sarah Ferguson potentially publishing a book, the latest stir involves Prince Edward’s former girlfriend, West End star Ruthie Henshall relationship.
Edward, who has been married to Duchess Sophie for 26 years, reportedly finds the prospect “mortifying,” even though nothing negative about the royal couple is said to be included, sources told Closer.
“Edward and Sophie have built their entire lives around being discreet and drama-free,” an insider explained. “They take enormous pride in keeping their heads down and doing their work without seeking publicity, so the idea of intimate details being brought into the public domain is mortifying.”
The source added that the situation has left Edward in a “terrible mood,” as he does not even recall what he had written in the letters. Even though the content may reflect him in a flattering light, the exposure is still considered “humiliating.”
The Duke of Edinburgh and Duchess of Edinburgh are reportedly “losing sleep,” along with other members of the royal family.
“This is another embarrassment at a time when the monarchy is already under intense scrutiny. It’s the last thing they need,” a royal source revealed. “There is real anxiety inside the Palace about how far this memoir will delve into the family.”
