
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversations with the country’s military leadership, extending heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He spoke with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Chief of Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, conveying Eid wishes to the services chiefs.
The prime minister paid tribute to soldiers and officers of the security forces who continue to safeguard the country’s borders, even on Eid, while staying away from their families.
Shehbaz Sharif also reached out to political leaders across the country to extend Eid greetings. Those contacted included Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, and Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail.
He also spoke with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to exchange Eid greetings.
In addition, the prime minister contacted several political figures, including JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, MQM-Pakistan chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, ANP president Aimal Wali Khan, BAP president Khalid Hussain Magsi, IPP president Abdul Aleem Khan, and PML-Q leader Salik Hussain.
