Zinedine Zidane is reportedly set to replace his former national teammate Didier Deschamps as the head coach of France, according to the report.

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly agreed to take over the head coaching role of the France national team following this summer’s FIFA World Cup, ESPN reported on Monday.
The 53-year-old is said to have reached a verbal agreement with the French Football Federation to succeed Didier Deschamps, who has been in charge since 2012.
Zinedine Zidane, who managed Spanish giants Real Madrid during two spells (2016–18 and 2019–21), has long been viewed as a future head coach for France.
As a player, the influential midfielder won the 1998 Ballon d’Or and was named FIFA World Player of the Year three times (1998, 2000, and 2003).
He played a key role in France’s 1998 World Cup victory and their runner-up finish in 2006. Zidane was also famously sent off in the 2006 final after headbutting Italy’s Marco Materazzi.
