Barbie Ferreira has stayed connected with her Euphoria castmates.
In a recent interview on the SiriusXM radio show The Morning Mashup, published Friday, April 3, the actress—known for playing Kat—spoke about her current relationship with her former co-stars after leaving the HBO series following season 2, three years ago. While discussing her latest projects, Ferreira was asked how much she keeps in touch with her former colleagues, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow, now that she’s no longer on the show.
“Yeah, totally. People always ask me about season 3, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ Honestly, I don’t even think the girls know,” Ferreira said when host Ben Harlum asked how closely she’s following the show ahead of its season 3 premiere on April 12.
The 29-year-old actress shared that she still chats with her former co-stars but isn’t involved in the storyline details. She even joked about how little the cast seems to know about what’s coming.
“I was like, ‘Is Trisha Paytas in *Euphoria?’ And they’re like, ‘I don’t know.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re in it. How did you not know?’” she recalled. “I haven’t seen anything until the trailers came out this week. They look amazing. I’m excited to see what the girls are going to do.”
Ferreira has also addressed speculation about her departure, dismissing rumors of on-set drama.
“When people ask me about season 2, they act like I was some sort of victim, and I always tell them, ‘No, it’s okay, promise. It’s good,’” she said on Dax Shepherd’s Armchair podcast. “I kind of got pulled into this drama I never asked to be in and never spoke about. My mindset is that if it doesn’t exist, I’m not going to address it—otherwise, I’d just be adding fuel to it.”
