Trump accused Iran’s theocratic leadership of decades‑long extortion and corruption.

United States President Donald Trump’s Tuesday deadline for Iran is drawing near, and his latest warning has sparked fears of a potential nuclear strike against the Islamic Republic.
Earlier, Trump set an 8 p.m. deadline, stating that the U.S. would target “power plants and bridges.” He warned, “There will be nothing like it!!” and used strong language urging Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
His recent statements have heightened fears that he could contemplate using nuclear weapons against Iran, particularly targeting Kharg Island.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”
The 47th president added, “However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, with different, smarter, and less radicalized minds in charge, maybe something revolutionary and wonderful can happen? WHO KNOWS.”
He also accused Iran’s theocratic leadership of 47 years of extortion and corruption, assuring “the Great People of Iran” that it will “finally end.”
His comments have sparked alarm, with prominent British journalist Piers Morgan describing them as a blatant pre-admission of genocide against the Iranian people.
Morgan called the statements “a war crime and sheer madness.”
Several countries are working to prevent further escalation in the ongoing conflict. Unofficial reports indicate that Pakistan has been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire, although no major progress has been reported so far.
