A single ticket won the Powerball jackpot in Monday night’s drawing.

A single ticket sold in Delaware matched all six numbers in the Monday, April 6, Powerball drawing.
Lottery officials confirmed that the ticket holder won the $231 million jackpot.
The April 6 Powerball drawing numbers were 7, 24, 37, 42, 57, with a Powerball of 5. The cash value of the current jackpot stood at $104.9 million.
The previous jackpot cycle began in late March when a Florida ticket won $95 million. With Monday’s drawing, the current jackpot will reset to approximately $20 million, with a cash option of $9.1 million.
In addition, a ticket sold in Texas matched all five white balls and the 2X Power Play, winning $2 million. No Match 5 winner claimed the $1 million prize in Monday’s draw.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million, making it one of the toughest lottery games to win.
Powerball drawings take place at 11 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The game is available in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A single ticket costs $2, with $1 Power Play and Double Play options available at participating retailers.
Online ticket sales are offered through state lottery websites in Kentucky, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C.
The identity of the winner has not been disclosed. Winners have 90 days to one year to claim their prize, depending on state regulations.
