‘Levitating’ singer Dua Lipa celebrates record-breaking streaming success with her two albums

Dua Lipa achieves a new milestone on Spotify with record-breaking success.
The Levitating hitmaker becomes the first female artist in the platform’s history to have two albums each surpassing 15 billion streams.
On Friday, April 10, the Radical Optimism Tour star took to her Instagram Stories to mark her latest career milestone.
She reposted a celebratory update from a fan page, Dua Lipa Central, which included a promotional image of the Grammy-winning singer from her 2017 debut self-titled album era.
In the image, she appears with wet-look hair, wearing a dark textured metallic jacket against a soft purple and blue gradient backdrop.
At the top, her name “DUA LIPA” is displayed in bold lettering, while large purple text across the center highlights “15 BILLION streams on Spotify.”
A caption at the bottom reads: “Dua Lipa becomes the first female artist in Spotify history to have two albums surpass 15 BILLION streams.”
For context, her 2020 sophomore album Future Nostalgia (The Moonlight Edition) was the first to reach this milestone, currently sitting at around 15.08 billion streams. Her 2017 debut album Dua Lipa (Complete Edition) crossed the same mark in early April, boosted by global hits like “New Rules” and “IDGAF.”
Since concluding her Radical Optimism Tour on October 16, 2025, Lipa has been on a break from releasing new music, aside from a collaboration with a friend on Two Hearts. She has also been focusing on her newly launched beauty brand and The Service95 Book Club.
Meanwhile, reports and speculation suggest that Lipa and her fiancé, Masters of the Air star Callum Turner, are planning an intimate summer wedding later this year. The couple is said to prefer a low-key, private ceremony over a large celebrity event.
They have reportedly been considering venues in Italy and the UK, aiming to finalize their wedding plans before Lipa turns 31 in August.
