Asalanka is set to join the Qalandars squad ahead of their upcoming match against Quetta Gladiators on April 17.

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars have signed Sri Lankan batting all-rounder Charith Asalanka as a replacement for Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Parvez Hossain Emon for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11.
Emon was ruled out of the tournament after sustaining an injury.
The left-handed batter and useful off-spin bowler brings valuable international experience, having played for Sri Lanka across all formats.
His inclusion is expected to strengthen the Qalandars’ middle order as the team moves into the decisive stage of the competition.
Emon suffered a shoulder injury during Lahore Qalandars’ recent match against Multan Sultans in Lahore.
The injury happened after an on-field collision with Asif Ali, which led to a ligament tear. He had played three matches for the Qalandars in this season.
