The four astronauts of Artemis II returned to Earth on Friday after completing their lunar mission, as their gumdrop-shaped Orion spacecraft splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.
Their return marked the conclusion of the first crewed mission to the Moon since 1972, ending a 54-year gap in human lunar exploration.
