The Emmy winner recently shared that she is now bedridden, four years after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Christina Applegate is reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles as she continues to battle multiple sclerosis.
The Emmy-winning actress, who announced her diagnosis in 2021, was admitted to the hospital in March, according to TMZ on Thursday, April 16. The specific reason for her hospitalization has not been disclosed.
Applegate’s representative told TMZ, “I have no comment on whether she is hospitalized or regarding her current medical treatments. She has a long history of complex health issues that she has been candid about, as reflected in her memoir and on her podcast.”
The Friends alum has indeed been open about her health journey on her MeSsy podcast, which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. In February, Applegate released her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, where she shares details about her challenging upbringing in Los Angeles, early fame, difficult relationships, and ongoing health struggles.
Before her MS diagnosis, Applegate, 54, faced breast cancer in 2008 and underwent a double mastectomy.
In 2011, she welcomed her only child, daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble, with her husband, Martyn LeNoble. She is also a stepmother to his older daughter, Marlon.
In a February interview with People magazine, Applegate shared that she spends much of her day in bed, aside from taking her daughter to school.
“I want to take her—it’s my favorite thing to do,” she said. “I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely, then come home so you can get back into bed.’”
