AirPods Max 2 Offers High-Resolution Lossless Audio Support via USB-C Connection

On Monday, Apple unveiled the second-generation AirPods Max over-ear headphones, priced at $549, more than five years after the original model’s launch.
This marks Apple’s first major update to its premium over-ear headphones since their 2020 debut, featuring new enhancements and improved noise cancellation to strengthen its position in the high-end headphones market.
Powered by Apple’s in-house H2 chip, which powers the latest AirPods models, the new AirPods Max 2 will be available for pre-order starting March 25 in over 30 countries, with in-store availability beginning early next month, the company said.
Key upgrades include enhanced active noise cancellation, an improved microphone system, and new features such as Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation.
First introduced on the AirPods Pro 3 in September, Live Translation allows users to translate in-person conversations across languages using Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI platform.
Additionally, AirPods Max 2 supports high-resolution lossless audio via USB-C, catering to music creators and professional users seeking higher-fidelity sound, Apple noted.
