Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday launched the Punjab Police Pakistan App, enabling citizens to report lost documents from the comfort of their homes.
Through the app, residents can file complaints for missing identity cards, passports, and driving licences without the need to visit a police station or service centre.
Once the report is submitted, a copy of the missing report (FIR) will be delivered directly to the applicant’s home.
The chief minister said the initiative aims to enhance public services through the use of modern technology.
“Providing convenience to citizens through innovation is our commitment,” said Maryam Nawaz Sharif, adding that advancing Punjab on the path of technological development remains a top priority of her government.
Officials noted that the app will help save time and money for citizens, while also easing the hassle of visiting police stations and waiting to file reports.
