Heeseung, a key member of the popular Korean boy band ENHYPEN, has officially stepped down from the group.
Earlier today, the band’s official X account shared a statement on behalf of their record label, BELIFT LAB, confirming the departure.
In a detailed statement, the band confirmed that 24-year-old singer Heeseung has officially parted ways with his fellow members.
The message also reassured fans that ENHYPEN will continue their activities and performances as a “group of six members.”
The band’s record label, BELIFT LAB, also explained the reason behind Heeseung’s departure, stating that the 24-year-old singer wishes to pursue a solo career.
“Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision, and we have decided to respect it,” the statement read.
The post added, “It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation.”
“We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and Heeseung,” the statement continued.
ENHYPEN is a seven-member multinational K-pop group formed by BELIFT LAB in 2020. The band originally included Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
