‘It: Welcome to Derry’ Takes Home Saturn Award for Best Horror Series

It: Welcome to Derry, the popular HBO Max series, has finally offered fans a hopeful update from its creator, Andy Muschietti.
Following the season 1 finale, rumors circulated about a potential continuation, but until now, the streaming giant had not officially confirmed a renewal for the show’s next installment.
HBO has yet to officially announce a new season of It: Welcome to Derry, but creator Andy Muschietti hinted that a follow-up is practically certain.
Speaking at the Saturn Awards, Muschietti revealed that season 2 is already in the works. While he kept details under wraps, he expressed excitement about the show’s growing fan anticipation.
“There’s not much we can say, but yes, we’re very proud that the expectations are high after the first season. I think we’re going to deliver something that is greater,” Muschietti said.
The series brought back Bill Skarsgard as the terrifying Pennywise the Dancing Clown from the It films. Based on Stephen King’s novel, the show explores the origin story of the monstrous clown who preys on children.
