Police Reunite Dozens of Missing Children with Families During Eid, Says SHO Rashid Ali

Karachi police have rescued a three-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted from Seaview Beach on the third day of Eid ul-Fitr.
A kidnapping case was registered at Darakhshan Police Station on March 25, according to The News.
Police circulated photographs and details of the girl on social media to help locate her. The South Investigation Police later found her safe near Jackson Masan Chowk.
A suspect, identified as Abubakar, has been taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
The case was initially registered at Darakhshan Police Station on kidnapping charges following a complaint by the child’s father, Waseem, a resident of Nazimabad. He told authorities that he had visited Seaview with his family for recreation on the third day of Eid ul-Fitr.
According to Waseem, his three daughters were with him at the beach. Two ran towards the sea in the crowd, which he and his wife chased, while the youngest, Warisha, was playing with sand. “When we returned, Warisha was missing,” he said. The family searched extensively but could not locate her, alleging that unknown individuals had abducted their daughter. He appealed for her safe recovery.
Darakhshan SHO Rashid Ali stated that Seaview had been crowded during the Eid holidays, with dozens of children going missing over the three days. Fortunately, most were later reunited with their families by the police.
