Princess Kate Middleton has reportedly been deeply disappointed with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following what sources describe as a “tone-deaf” move, which could potentially delay ongoing efforts at reconciliation within the royal family.
In February, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines again with their so-called “faux royal” tour of Jordan, aimed at promoting humanitarian causes.
On the invitation of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the conflict-affected country of Jordan, highlighting the challenges faced by local individuals and families.
However, the timing of their tour drew criticism, as the royal family continues to navigate the fallout from Prince Andrew’s scandal. According to an insider speaking to Heat magazine, the Sussexes, particularly Meghan Markle, left Princess Kate Middleton frustrated.
“Kate tends to let Harry off the hook when he does this sort of thing, and her first instinct is to blame Meghan. In this case, she’s not wrong because Meghan was the driving force,” the source said.
Princess Kate reportedly expressed disappointment over Harry’s decision, noting that he did not consider the timing or how the trip would be perceived by the family.
The source added that while the future queen is “not slamming the door on reconciliation, there’s no denying this has pushed things further apart.”
The Waleses, already under intense scrutiny, are reportedly upset that the Sussexes “are trying to grab positive publicity for themselves. The right thing to do would be to stay out of the press, not court it.”
