Green Shirts aim for victory in crucial match to seal tied three-match series at 1-1

Pakistan won the toss on Sunday and opted to bowl first against Bangladesh in the third and final ODI of the three-match series, which is currently tied 1-1.
At the toss, Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi confirmed that Shamyl Hussain and Hussain Talal were sidelined due to injuries and would not feature in today’s playing XI.
Talat sustained a shoulder injury in the second ODI while attempting to stop a backfoot punch from Litton Das, struck off Mohammad Wasim Jr, from reaching the deep cover boundary, crashing into the advertising boards in the process.
Meanwhile, Shamyl has been sidelined with a neck strain, according to the team spokesperson.
Two players are set to make their national team debuts today: Ghazi Ghori and Saad Masood.
In Friday’s rain-affected second ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 128 runs. Chasing a revised target of 243 in 32 overs instead of 275 in 50, the home side managed 114 before being bowled out in 23.3 overs.
In the first ODI, Bangladesh dominated, comfortably chasing Pakistan’s 115-run target and securing an eight-wicket victory, losing just two wickets in 15.1 overs, thanks to a stellar performance from their top order.
