Warner-led Karachi Kings will start their PSL 11 campaign on March 27 facing Quetta Gladiators

Karachi Kings have confirmed that Australian star David Warner will continue as captain for the upcoming Pakistan Super League season 11.
After a campaign marked by steady development under Warner’s leadership, the franchise has decided to maintain stability by once again entrusting the experienced opening batter with the captaincy.
The decision underscores the franchise’s confidence in Warner’s vision and his ability to inspire the squad both on and off the field.
After taking the helm in PSL 10, Warner’s second consecutive term as captain aims to turn last season’s momentum into a championship run. The Kings are banking on Warner’s experience and aggressive mindset to transform last season’s progress into a championship run.
The move is viewed as a stabilising step by the franchise, aimed at maintaining consistency in team culture and strategy under the leadership of David Warner.
With Warner at the helm, Karachi Kings are looking to combine international experience with emerging local talent as they target a strong push for the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) title.
Warner made his PSL debut for the Kings in the previous edition and guided the team to their first playoff appearance in three years. The 39-year-old also enjoyed a productive campaign with the bat, finishing as the team’s second-highest run-scorer with 368 runs in 11 matches at an average of 33.45 and an impressive strike rate of 153.97, including three half-centuries.
Despite his strong performance in PSL 10, Warner was initially released by the franchise after the league allowed existing teams to retain only four players ahead of the inaugural players’ auction, following the expansion of the tournament to eight teams.
However, the Kings later reacquired the experienced opener at the players’ auction after outbidding Peshawar Zalmi with a winning bid of Rs79 million.
Warner-led Karachi Kings will begin their PSL 11 campaign on March 27 against Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
