Russia has strongly condemned attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, urging the international community to oppose such actions.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned that strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, are extremely dangerous and could lead to large-scale radiation risks.
She said the countries responsible are escalating tensions in the Middle East while ignoring the serious consequences. On March 27, Iran’s Khondab Heavy Water Complex and Ardakan Uranium Plant were reportedly targeted, followed by additional strikes near Bushehr.
Zakharova described the attacks as a clear violation of international law and stressed that those responsible must recognize the potential consequences. She also called on the International Atomic Energy Agency to take a firm and unambiguous stance on the situation.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the strikes breach not only the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty but also fundamental global safety principles. Zakharova urged the countries involved to immediately halt what she described as a destructive policy to prevent further loss of life and the risk of a broader global crisis.
