The unusual moment unfolded in the 38th over during a bowling spell from Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Salman Ali Agha was dismissed in an unusual fashion during the second One Day International of the three-match series against Bangladesh national cricket team on Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The bizarre moment occurred in the 38th over during a bowling spell from Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz. He delivered a ball to Mohammad Rizwan, who attempted to play a defensive shot.
The ball spun and rolled straight toward Salman Agha, who was at the non-striker’s end.
Agha tried to stop the ball as bowler Mehidy Hasan Miraz rushed in. Both players moved toward the Pakistan batter, who had stepped outside his crease while attempting to pick up the ball and return it to the bowler.
Just as the right-hander reached for the ball, Miraz quickly grabbed it and knocked over the stumps, catching Agha out of his ground and completing the run-out.
The two players then exchanged words over the unusual incident, with Agha clearly appearing surprised by the dismissal.
The Pakistan T20I captain later showed clear frustration over the manner of his dismissal, throwing his gloves and helmet to the ground as he walked back to the pavilion.
Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja, who was on commentary during the match, reflected on the controversial run-out involving Salman Ali Agha.
He acknowledged that the decision was technically correct but pointed out the unusual nature of the incident.
“Within the technical rules, he was indeed run out, but in terms of sportsmanship, I’m afraid he took a massive blow. He was just about to pick up the ball and return it to the bowler, but the bowler saw an opportunity for a run-out. You’ve got to feel for him,” Ramiz said.
Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez also reacted on the social media platform X, expressing disappointment over what he described as a lack of sportsmanship from Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
“Poor sportsmanship from Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz,” wrote Mohammad Hafeez.
