Disruption reports began emerging around 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, as users encountered error messages while trying to load the homepage or refresh their feeds.
According to Downdetector, nearly 19,000 problem reports were submitted at the peak of the outage, with half of the complaints related to issues loading the timeline or feed on the microblogging platform.
Users accessing the official site saw a message indicating they were “experiencing an error.”
The cause of the brief outage has not been disclosed, and the company has yet to release an official statement regarding the disruption.
