Eugene Mirman is best known for voicing Gene Belcher on Fox’s animated hit, ‘Bob’s Burgers.’

Comedian Eugene Mirman, best known as the voice of Gene Belcher on Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, has been hospitalized with serious injuries following a fiery single-car crash in Bedford, New Hampshire.
Authorities reported that Mirman’s 2026 Lucid Gravity collided with the Bedford Toll Plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike shortly before noon on Tuesday. The vehicle caught fire with Mirman trapped inside, prompting a dramatic rescue.
Among those who rushed to his aid were New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte and a veteran state trooper from her security detail. They pulled Mirman to safety through a car window.
“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” said State Police Col. Mark B. Hall. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”
No charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation.
