Meghan Markle is reportedly “absolutely buzzing” after she and Prince Harry returned home from their trip to Australia, a source tells In Touch.
According to the source, “In her mind, it proves everything she’s been saying all along—that she doesn’t need the palace machine to shine because she naturally connects with people in a way that feels more authentic and modern.”
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, was said to be eager to make a strong impression during the Australia visit, with earlier reports suggesting she aimed to be seen as the country’s new “Queen of Hearts.”
“The outpouring of love they’ve received in Australia has really lit a fire under her, and she wants to keep this momentum going,” the source added. “There are plenty of places to travel to next.”
As In Touch readers are aware, the royal family is not supportive of the Sussexes carrying out unofficial tours since they stepped down as working royals in 2020.
However, according to the source, Harry, 41, “sees this quasi-royal life as his destiny and the direction he wants to go in,” while Meghan views it as “just one of many irons she has in the fire.”
The As Ever founder is said to have multiple business projects underway, with plans for expansion over the next 12 months, and “doesn’t want to limit herself,” the source explained.
“That being said, she loves being seen as a huge success on this kind of stage,” the source added. “If anything, it’s only reinforced her belief that she can best Princess Kate when it comes to what she can accomplish.”
