Samsung Electronics has confirmed it remains the world’s leading gaming monitor brand for the seventh year in a row, maintaining its top position since 2019.
Data from International Data Corporation (IDC) shows Samsung captured 18.9% of global gaming monitor revenue, reinforcing its dominance in high-performance displays. The company also held the top spot in the OLED gaming monitor segment for the third consecutive year, with a 26% market share.
“As the No. 1 gaming monitor brand, we aim to continue driving the market with unique innovations,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Our collaborations with game studios shape our innovations, and a clear technology roadmap keeps us focused. By expanding our gaming library and enhancing platform compatibility, we deliver displays that perform when it matters most for gamers.”

Samsung’s continued leadership highlights its focus on next-generation gaming monitor technology and immersive experiences. At GDC 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung showcased its latest Odyssey lineup, demonstrating glasses-free 3D and HDR10+ GAMING. The 2026 Odyssey lineup features:
- 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF): Glasses-free 3D gaming with advanced eye-tracking for natural depth, making in-game action leap off the screen. Odyssey 3D Hub supports a growing library of titles, including Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn, with plans for over 120 compatible games this year.
- 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH): Stunning 4K QD-OLED display at 240Hz, offering exceptional color and contrast, with Samsung OLED Safeguard+ protection.
- 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS): The industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, delivering 165Hz native performance with Dual Mode up to 330Hz in 3K, plus VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1 for smooth gameplay and efficient video playback.
- 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H): The world’s first 1,040Hz gaming monitor with Dual Mode, providing esports-level motion clarity and ultra-responsive gameplay.
