Ariana Grande takes a seat in the new Fockers trailer.

The Fockers are officially back—and this time, they’ve put Ariana Grande in the hot seat.
Universal Pictures released the trailer for Focker-In-Law on April 15, teasing a chaotic and familiar family initiation full of comedy and surprises.
Franchise favorites Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro are back as Greg and Jack, joined once again by Blythe Danner and Teri Polo.
Grande plays Olivia Jones, a triathlete with nerves of steel—or at least she tries to keep them that way. In classic Focker fashion, she’s quickly hooked up to the infamous lie detector, raising the stakes and the comedy.
Jack, still firmly in interrogation mode, tells her, “You clearly know your stuff,” as tension and humor continue to build.
Directed by John Hamburg, the film arrives more than two decades after Meet the Parents first turned awkward family dinners into a comedy staple.
Off-screen, Ben Stiller couldn’t hold back his praise for his new co-star, saying, “What’s surprising and maybe not really surprising is just how amazingly she’s blended in,” adding, “She’s such a pro… she’s so funny and amazing in Wicked.”
Grande, meanwhile, called the experience a dream come true, sharing, “I have grown up adoring Ben… to be able to work with them… was a dream come true.”
Focker-In-Law is set to hit theaters on November 25, and yes—the lie detector is very much still in play.
